Celebrating Public Service Day
The Public Service Day is universally observed. It seeks to highlight and recognize the work public servants do to promote democracy and good governance in their countries.
In Lesotho it is celebrated in the summer months so that the attendant fanfare (restricted by the winter months) is maximized. This year Lesotho Public Servants celebrated their Day on Friday 7th November 2014. They celebrated at the National Setsoto Stadium with speeches, games and music galore.
As part of its public awareness campaign, Ombudsman Office personnel took the opportunity to distribute over 2,000 publicity pamphlets.
